How do you approach winter dressing? My approach to winter dressing is based around two key pillars – dressing with style but also for comfort and warmth. Weather appropriate dressing is vital for surviving the transition into the cold weather, especially here in Melbourne! I love to curate my winter wardrobe around layering essential pieces with this season’s newest additions! My latest purchase being our beautiful fluffy ‘Deep Collar Cardi’ in Black.   What do you look for when creating a winter wardrobe? Soft textures, natural fibres, and knitwear reign supreme in winter and help to create that cosy feeling we all long for. While we all embraced the loungewear trend during lockdown, we’re seeing a return to those true winter wardrobe investment pieces that can be cherished for years to come.Outerwear styles are the hero of any winter wardrobe, for layering, protection from the elements and for dressing up or down an outfit for almost any occasion – think longline coats, quilted puffer jackets and tailored coats.Our in office favourite this season being the ‘Contrast Stripe Coat’, for it’s modern edge and sporty feel with the classic Black and White check elevated with the contrast Black panelling and tape trim.     What is a key piece that you can’t live without each winter? How can you elevate your winter looks? In the colder months, we often fall into the trap of sacrificing style for comfort, opting for outfits that aren’t always fashion focused. It is so important that we take care of our clothing to ensure their longevity, especially for those timeless invest pieces that should last for seasons to come. Here are some of my key care tips: Make sure you are laundering your clothes correctly – always pay extra attention to follow the care label. Woolen knits often require gentle handwashing and air drying.  Always fold your knitwear, if you hang your knits they are prone to stretching/dropping. Invest in a wool comb to remove any pilling and refresh the surface of the yarns. Store any delicate knitwear in dust bags for extra protection. How does the ‘Modern Muse’ collection capture the essence of Winter? It's International Women's Day! Celebrated every year on March 8th, today is not only a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, it's also about raising awareness of gender inequality and to advocate for women's rights, equity, and empowerment.

1. DaylesfordVoted Australia’s cosiest town by Australian Traveller, Daylesford in Victoria will always be our first choice for a Winter escape. A town of 3,000, there is no shortage of friendly locals to wave hello as you pass and wile away the winter season. Beautiful scenery and plenty of rustic charm, fill you winter day with trips to the Mineral Spas and bathhouses, take a walk along the Gold Fields Walking Track, discover vintage finds at the enormous Mill Market or spend the evenings warming up with a wine tasting.   2. North Stradbroke IslandOrganise a barbeque featuring lots of local seafood and warm yourself by the fire as you experience one of the beautiful islands near Brisbane.A true escape into nature, make sure you pack something waterproof and take on the sights of Whale watching- an experience you will never forget- and have a rest on Cylinder Beach amongst the bouncy Kangaroo locals. Always advocates of a winter by the beach, a ‘Straddie Sunset’ will endure our return at any time of the year.     3. Margaret RiverThe perfect destination for a mid-year family trip. Indulge in the wonders of free chocolate tastings and hand-made chocolate–dipped gelato bars from Gabriel Chocolate, or schedule your trip around one of the many festivals that take place in the region!This year immerse your self in the best of Australian and French film at CineFest- Australia’s premier destination film festival held in the Margaret River region. If film doesn’t take your fancy, the Truffle Kerfuffle Festival in June is a weekend long celebration of one of the world’s tastiest (and most luxurious) ingredients.      4. Barossa ValleyThere’s no better tipple to sip in winter than a nice Shiraz.. Enjoy a glass or two on a blustery day with a board of artisan cheese and a warming open fire.Whilst wine might just be our favourite part of this Winter escape – the Valley has so much to offer. Rug up for a Saturday morning trip to the Barossa Farmers market and experience the local produce- all in season and all delicious. By night- take part in a Taste of Italy cooking class run by Husband and Wife Fiona and Matteo Carboni. After all- there's nothing we’d rather eat on a chilly winter evening.   5. Bruny Island - a day trip from HobartIf you are seeking for a winter wonderland - look no further than Bruny Island, Tasmania. Just an hour from Hobart, make sure you make a trip to the wonderful MONA, The Museum of Old and New Art, prior to ferrying over to the Island.Tuck into local oysters at lunch time, accompanied by a range of Tasmanian wines, beers and ciders. If seafood isnt your favourite, indulge in local cheeses and bread at the delicious Bruny Island Cheese Co.- using sustainably-farmed and cow’s milk for their produce.An afternoon stroll along Cloudy Bay Beach works off a day of indulgence and a guided tour of Cape Bruny Lighthouse gives you your weekend dose of history.
